Born in Haikou, Hainan · based in Guangzhou / Tokyo
Education
Born in Haikou, Hainan, Lan Yi grew up moving between the island and the mainland, with family roots in Nanning, Guangxi and in Qiyang, Hunan — the maternal lineage that underlies her ongoing work on family history, psychoanalysis and the archive.
